Giant Eagle Mini Haul 11/14-11/20 | Kix Cereal for $0.40 & Free Colgate Toothbrushes

Posted on Updated on

Here is a few items I picked up from my Giant Eagle favorites list.

giant eagle kix

Before coupons: $14.69 / After coupons: $4.29

The Kix cereal were $0.40 each and the Colgate toothbrush was free with the Colgate Target printable coupon. I spotted them in a bin near the registers. If you can’t locate them there, check the oral care aisle.

If you plan on getting the Country Crock Simply Delicious but don’t need butter at the moment, I’d wait until it is on sale. It is a new item so I bet it will be in the ad within the next few weeks. *fingers crossed*

Walgreens branded paper towels 8 ct & bath tissue 12 rolls are on sale for $2.99 this week but after the $1 off Walgreens booklet coupon is applied, you’ll snag these for $1.99 a package.

image

Ollies is selling Old El Paso taco shells for $0.99 a box but look for ones that are past the expiration date. You’ll get an additional 75% off. I scored these for $0.25 a box and they only expired on the 3rd of September. Into the freezer they go. 🙂

Go here to look at my favorite Giant Eagle match ups for this week.

CVS is advertising Purex buy 1 get 2 free. Prices vary by region but at my store they were $5.99 each so I received 3 for $5.99 plus I redeemed a $1 off from Saving Star. My final total for 3 bottles is $4.99 or $1.66 each.

Wegmans shopping trip

Posted on Updated on

image

Wegmans reminds me of a cross between a Whole Foods and Giant Eagle. I fell in love with this retail chain when I was on a vacation in Philadelphia last year. I love to visit stores that I don’t have close to home for a change of scenery. Plus, I like to see what kind of sweet deals I can get, particularly on items that may not be sold near me.

A few days before I went out of town, I searched for a blog that caters to and does coupon match ups for Wegmans. Thank You, Living Rich with Coupons. I planned out my shopping trip, gathering all necessary coupons so I was ready when the time came. Here is what I ended up purchasing:

wegmans shopping 2

Reuseable bag, (2) packages of Wegman brand diapers, 8 oz. bottle of basting oil, (2) 6 packs of Zevia soda, Crest toothpaste, and Reynolds cupcake liners

Before coupons: $35.12 / After coupons: $3.58!!!

Everything was free, free, free aside from the diapers but at $1.79 each, I couldn’t resist. 🙂

When you sign up for a loyalty card, you will receive a welcome packet at the customer service desk. It is a booklet with information about the store enclosed but don’t toss it. Inside there are two coupons. One for a FREE reuseable bag and another one for a FREE 8 oz. jar of basting oil so that is how I got those two items free.

In order to receive the sale items at a discounted price, you must have a loyalty card. I had signed up for a card online but it hadn’t yet arrived in the mail by the time I went to Wegman’s. Luckily, I had the sweetest cashier ever and she used her own card to share the sale price discounts with me. But don’t worry, if I retail chain offers a store loyalty card and you do not have one, the cashier should be able to give you a courtesy swipe at the register.

Happy Shopping at Wegmans!

Village Discount Haul

Posted on Updated on

I went to the thrift store again. Here are some highlights from my shopping trip.

IMG_1326

A gray and white striped dress from Old Navy for $3.50 but I didn’t notice until I washed it and started to iron it that it has a stain on the butt. Whoops!

I hope Dawn dishsoap will take that out.

IMG_1329

The stain looks worse than what it really is. I had already applied Dawn to it in this photo.

IMG_1299

A floral, light weight, blouse from Ann Taylor’s Loft for $2.00

IMG_1334

A striped, lace, vest from Rue 21 for $1.50. Sorry the picture is a little funky.

IMG_1324

A sleeveless flannel with tie back from the Miley Cyrus collection at Walmart for $2.00

Check out my other Village Discount haul, here. Look for locations near you, here.

I scored $50 worth of clothing for FREE from Aeropostale

Posted on Updated on

Right now you can head over to Aeropostale.com and score clearance items for 70% off. I saw camis for as low as $2.99. Shipping is normally around $7 but if you sign up for emails, you can get free shipping off a $50 purchase. More importantly, if something doesn’t fit you can return in store.

You can also go to you local Aeropostale to look for some clearance deals. Inventory varies per location and I found that the online store had more of a selection on tops. Find a store near you, here.

Thanks Jenn for the heads up on this sweet sale.

Now getting to my haul. I was able to score $50 worth of clothing for FREE because I used money I earned through the Ibotta app and Shop at Home. Woot Woot! Learn about Ibotta here. Learn about Shop at Home. (Plus I earned 4% on the order I made through Shop at Home so I could say that I actually made money on this haul.)
